Transition from launch screen (storyboard) to Xaml. [500 question marks here]

I'm working on my first port of a Xaml app to iOS, and a splash screen would be nice. There are tutorials like this one: https://developer.xamarin.com/samples/monotouch/ios8/DynamicLaunchScreen (and many, many copies of tutorials like that one).

Yet all these tutorial apps do is show a splash screen, permanently. They do nothing else. [Mind blown.]

How do I transition beyond the splash screen to my Xamarin Forms?

Actually, just ignore all those tutorials.
Assuming you are using Visual Studio, just look in the iOS project, Resources folder for LaunchScreen.storyboard and open that. Click on the image that is an X with a blue background. Assuming you have already added other images to your project, select one of your images.
    Done.
