How to uninstall extension: Internet of Things (IoT) development (Preview)?

Hi

I have to update my extensions for my Visual Studio for Mac to Xamarin.iOS 11.8.x because of version issues with my remote development machine.

VS downloads all the packages for this but also tries to download and update "Internet of Things (IoT) development (Preview)". That fails constantly and I cannot really see why.
It is just a preview extension so I think it would is easy to uninstall, but if I look into the extension manager, none of the extensions have an uninstall button... just activate/deactivate and refresh.
So I am stuck. I cannot complete the update before solving the IoT issue.
I am not a Mac user so probably I do a rookie mistake here.

Help is much appreciated!

    Complete uninstall of VS for Mac and a new install helped. It is not a good solution though and I wonder why I couldn't uninstall the previous installed extension.

    Just go to Extensions ... and uninstall the IoT extension. The download continues perfectly after that
