Background Geolocation plugin

I'm looking for a plugin for Xamarin that runs in the background at all times, similar to this plugin for Cordova: Transistor Background Geolocation

Anyone know of something that has been developed or a good writeup that describes not only gets the geolocation, but also run in the background?
