cannot display AXML layout in VS2017 - unsatified link error

Hi I'm getting this error when trying to look at the layout of an app screen. Seems to be some 32/64 bit conflict in my configuration. Anyone know what the problem is here? Thanks!

    simply had to remove JDK 9 and reinstall JDK 8 to solve the problem
