Date binding with UIDatePicker native embedded control

Hi there! I'm new with this Xamarin Forms world and I'm coding a PCL project. I was trying to place a DatePicker inside a view but I realice the picker shows up from the bottom of the screen (talking about iOS) and I didn't want that. Then I found out that native controls could be use in PCL apps, so I have something like this in a view:

<StackLayout>
<ios:UIDatePicker></ios:UIDatePicker>
</StackLayout>

That's exactly what I was looking for, now my question is, how do I set the date binding to that control ?? Could you please provide a simple example..
Thanks!

    the PCL date picker already uses the native picker when run on the ios platform

    why do this?

  • Well, when I run the app the control doesn't look like the native control. It looks like the old DatePicker (the one who appears from the bottom of the screen and has a 'Done' button). I'm running the app on the iOS simulator (I don't know if the control appearance it's different on the device)
