Unable to reference a C# Class Library in Xamarin iOS App

AwryAwry USMember ✭✭

I've created a C# Class Library to handle saving files to Buckets in Amazon (AWS S3).

I reference this class in my Xamarin iOS app with the goal of saving a video from my app to AWS but I'm unable to successfully build the app because I get this error:

error mt2002: failed to resolve "system.configuration.configurationelement" reference from "system.configuration (mt2002)

From what I gather my .NET class that contains the system.configuration.configurationelement because of an existing config file (packages.config) does not exist in Xamarin (Mono) which is causing these build issues.

Can someone point me in the right direction on how to get around this?

Thanks!

    I guess I found a limitation in Xamarin.iOS.

My ultimate goal was saving a video from an external file from my iOS app.

I'm unable to strip out the System.Configuration property from my C# class library.

Is the only way to do this to create the AWS class within the Xamarin application?
