How can I fix "Project not built in active configuration"?

Hi, I have tried this: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/41773344/project-not-build-in-active-configuration-visual-studio-macos-net-core

And it didn't work even after installing the files they said I should.

I have looked all over the internets now, and I cannot seem to find a solution to this problem. I really need to be able to build using Visual Studio 2017 on a Mac for iOS through Xcode so I can test the app I am working on. It is currently unable to run.

I am using Eclipse for version control because somehow it has support for TFVC while VS does not, and I've reinstalled Xcode and VS and so forth as well as cleaned up the builds as much as I could do to my knowledge.

Please help, I've spent far too many hours trying to fix this now.

Somehow the problem fixed theself after I created a new test application solution, built for Apple iOS, stopped the simulator, and reopened the previously mentioned solution.

    I have no idea anymore.
