i am using visual studio for mac Community Edition on MAC Virtual Machine. I have created a webView iOS application with iPhone Simulator. In project options, I have checked the box for creating ipa file but actually i am not able to find ipa file for the project in directory bin->iPhoneSimulator->Release . Please help me. @MuneebHafeez : you need to go to Build->Archive for publishing.

You have to use physical device then only u can get it, @MuneebHafeez
Release->instead of generic device it will show the device name then you've to do build archive for publishing
    You will get Archives.

@SaiLokesh that isn't true, I build for release all the time without attaching an actual device.
You do however have to have the iOS project selected to get the option.

@MuneebHafeez First you need to select the solution in Solution tree then go to Menu Build and Select "Archive for Publishing".

@JohnHair once try with actual device,
every time i release I'll do with device only,
If we do without actual device we will get this error.
    But it's with xamarin studio,

@SaiLokesh I just selected Release | iPhone, Generic Device. Build, Archive for Publishing. Its building as I type...
Device is not attached, my iOS project is selected in the Solution window.

i am doing the same thing as you told @JohnHair but is displaying error "your configuration doen't target a valid iOS device"

That's odd, clearly something is different between our configurations. I can only think your iOS project options are different when Generic Device is selected?
